Over 60s

At present the Pilates for the Over 60s class is Virtual. This shall remain the case for the time being because so many of the people who attend, or who are likely to attend, are shielding.

The Over 60s Pilates classes are gentler and taken at a slower pace than our evening classes and I endeavour to take account of joint stiffness, injuries and restrictions that you may have.

In these classes everyone has something that is a bit of an issue so please don’t let your movement issues put you off.   We simply start with what we’ve got, with the aim of getting you moving more, moving more efficiently and freely, and increasing strength and stamina so that you can more easily carry out the activities of daily living.

Our classes are on-going which gives you the flexibility to start whenever you want, not just at the beginning of term. This does mean that you’ll be joining a class that’s in full swing, but all of the other participants have been in the same situation a few months or weeks ago.

In class, please do feel free to ask for clarification of an exercise, or an alternative. We are always on hand with alternative exercises and modifications but you might have to nudge us. Please don’t suffer in silence – do speak up if you need some more info or help .

You don’t need to be 60 to join – we’re not counting!

Please note that you can now book both Face2Face classes and Zoom classes. The prices are different and our class passes are not available for Zoom classes.

If you would like to book a Zoom class, the cost is £5.

When you book a Zoom class, you will receive an email confirmation containing an invitation to the class. Click the link in the email to join the class.

How to Book Your Class

Our online system allows you to cancel and re book your sessions up to and including the day before. You can use the link in the email we send you to do this, but if you are attending regularly we advise you to set up a User Name and Password.

You can log in directly to the system using the button below, once you have registered for an account. You can do this at the same time as booking your first ever class (or any class).

IMPORTANT: If this is the first time you have done Pilates with us, please can you fill out a very short Health Questionnaire before you attend class. (It only takes 2 mins). It is necessary for your safety, our planning and for our Insurance purposes.
