Welcome aboard if you are interested in 1 to 1 Pilates in Leeds at my studio. If you are not in Leeds no problem! I teach live online via zoom too.

Why choose me?

I’ve done it before with my clients over many years, so we can do it for you too – use your regular 1 to 1 Pilates sessions to achieve the changes you want to see.  Between us we can make you stronger. We can help you feel more confident in your body and with your movement.  You can reach a place where you don’t have nagging pain or regular injuries.

You’ll have sessions that are personalised, and planned in advance.   I use my Pilates experience of course and to date there is nearly 22 years of that. In addition though, I use my knowledge of pain management, anatomy, and training in related fields such as fascial release, breathwork and gym based strength training to look at the whole of you: head to toe, mind and body.

I am an ex nurse too, which can come in useful.

Please let me assure you, that you are not too old, too injured or too unfit to see real changes in your body.  Regular exercise can have a really remarkable effect on all bodies and everybody.

Freddie says, “I was initially both sceptical and nervous about Pilates. I have a very physical job and thought Pilates would not be able to target my needs. However it has been incredibly helpful in helping me to heal from a serious back problem and now I have a set of exercises that I can choose from from for daily practice.”

Janie says ” I have been having weekly 1:1 sessions with Alison for around 7 years. I am 71years old and have moderate arthritis in my knee and hip. As a result of my sessions I now feel stronger and more flexible and I’m able to engage in activities like walking and swimming without difficulty. My sessions with Alison are always tailored to my needs. Alison is knowledgeable and well-informed and is excellent at explaining why certain exercises are useful. My Pilates sessions have had a hugely positive influence on my physical well-being.”

New 1 to 1 Pilates Tutor

My friend and colleague Zoe now teaches 1 to 1 Pilates in Leeds. Please let me introduce Zoe, in her own words:

For me, movement has been a lifelong path. I have taught a range of movement practices for more than 30 years and Pilates for over a decade. Adding to my Pilates knowledge is a foundation in dance, massage therapy, yoga and relational coaching.

After navigating several knee and hip surgeries. I understand pain, not just professionally but personally too. This lived insight, shapes my whole person approach, blending technical expertise with compassionate, body aware guidance to help you move with greater ease, confidence and resilience.

You can read a bit more about the other things Zoe offers, including massage therapy, if you click here.

Carole says “My Reformer sessions with Zoe are amazing. I worked my body in ways I didn’t think I would ever be able to do again”

Paul says “I have struggled with back issues for a number of years now and had multiple surgeries. I was struggling to manage everyday symptoms and was cautious of doing anything for fear that it would make my back worse. Zoe started me on Reformer Pilates gently and over past few sessions, has increased the number and intensity of the exercises. This has made a massive difference to both my posture and mobility. There’s still a long way to go but the difference is already noticeable. Pilates is now something I will incorporate into my everyday life. I cannot thank Zoe enough.”

Specialist Sessions

Simply for the purposes of showing what I offer to clients, I differentiate between 1 to 1 Pilates, (and very similar) Reformer Pilates,  live online sessions, 1 to 1 for addressing Pelvic floor and core issues, and 1 to 1 for Osteoporosis.

There is more detail on the relevant pages. That said, the booking process, payment is the same and Zoe and I don’t change.

You can have a chat with me before booking anything

If you’d like to talk through whether 1 to 1 Pilates sessions are right for you, what they involve, or how many you need, you are welcome to book a 20 min phone call, or drop in to the studio.

Organising that, rather like actual talking on an actual phone, is still done the old fashioned way.  Click here to email your request (and I’ll put it in my paper diary!)    I’m free on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday afternoons.

You can always phone me, text or WhatsApp, right now on 0775 166 2158.
